August 2, 2019 is the next Food Truck Friday and Frankie will be
there with an interactive storytelling for all the children and adults. After
the story all the children will be given a Frankie the Dog picture to
color. ( we will provide the crayons too). We will then hang the pictures
in our Upstairs Gallery open Thurs -Sat 11-5 where
the children’s colored pictures will be displayed on the gallery
panels from August 2 thru August 24. WOW ! Members of the Sawnee
Association of the Arts will judge the kids’ artwork and on Wednesday, August
7th and ribbons will be in place on the 8th to view. Prizes will be
awarded through the Children’s Art Awards Program on August 10 at 3pm. Double
WOW!!!!!
We will also
have an ART Market in front of the ART Center and
Gallery inside will be open with Art and Gifts.

Special children’s event Friday, June 7th :
Coinciding with School Street Food Truck Friday. Storytelling with Frankie the Dog (and Frankie will be there and will participate.) After the storytelling, children will be given a page from a Frankie the Dog coloring book. The children will color the pictures (crayons will be provided by SAA.) Then they hang their art work for display at the art center, also known as the Brannon Heard House (across the street from Food Truck Friday.) During the next two weeks the art work will be on display in the upstairs art gallery Thursday – Saturday 11 am – 5pm. Art work will be judged. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded. Children’s Artist Reception and awards 3pm Saturday, June 15. Parents, grandparents, friends and relatives and the general public are invited to view the art display.
Also, Make a Gift for Dad for Fathers Day on Saturday June 15.
