Open Auditions for “9 to 5 the Musical”
It’s that time again!!! LCS Productions, our in house theatre company at the School Street Playhouse, is thrilled to announce open auditions for their production of the Tony award winning “9 to 5 The Musical”. (Music and Lyrics by Dolly Parton. Book by Patricia Resnick. Based on the 20th Century Fox Picture.) Produced and Directed by Lisa Sherouse. Musically directed by Mark Schroeder. Choreographed by Megan Tames.
Audition Information
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Weds, February 4th, 2026 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Call Backs
Saturday, February 7th, 2026 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Auditions will run in 1-hour segments. You will be required to sing 16 – 32 bars of a song NOT from this musical but in a similar style. Please bring your own audition track. There will also be a short dance component to the audition so please dress comfortably. No monologue is required. Time permitting, there may be cold reads from the script during auditions. If not, cold reads will definitely be at call backs.
Please be punctual and be able to stay for the entire hour or longer.

Roles
All roles available. No roles have been precast. Open to ages 17 and up. Non-equity, non-paying and no fee.
Production and Performance Dates
Rehearsals begin week of Feb 23rd. Tues, Weds & Thurs evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Be mindful that for the first couple of weeks or more you won’t be required at every rehearsal.
Show runs Friday, April 24 – May 17 every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM.
